For my liberal friends, you know who you are, please stop lecturing Republicans on the “shame” we should feel over our presumptive nominee. Yes, I think he is a disgrace, as do many of us – we firmly believe, once a lying loud mouth liberal, always a lying loud mouth liberal. We’re working as hard as we can to send him back to you, where he belongs.
In the meantime, clean up your own house! You’ve seriously got big brass baseballs to suggest that we have a corner on embarrassing candidates. Hillary Clinton should be in jail. Enough said about her.
Those of you voting for Senator Sanders, instead of lecturing us, look into the way the DNC has rigged We’ve been trying to tell you for years about the shenanigans and media bias to no avail, and now they’re using it against you. It’s not always about what they say; it’s often about what they decide not to say.
I have integrity, intellectual honesty, and a commitment to truth, qualities I don’t generally attribute to the left. This being the case, I don’t have a problem saying that I do believe Bernie is honest. He is honestly stupid, however, to believe in a system that has failed everywhere it’s ever been. Socialism, Communism, and Fascism, all heads of the same serpent, are responsible for at least 158 million deaths in the 20th century alone, and have never lifted a single person out of poverty, with the possible exception of party leaders. The fact is that each Bernie supporter is choosing –making a deliberate and intentional choice, to ignore the myriad lessons of history. George Santayana said: “Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it.”
Google Venezuela and see how it’s working for them. Definitely not Utopian. Denmark’s Prime Minister has asked Bernie to stop referring to them as Socialist. They don’t want to be associated with that form of government and with good reason. They’ve learned their lesson, and they’re moving away from the welfare state because it doesn’t work. It is economically unsustainable. Senator Sanders must have missed the memo.
It matters not how fervently you wish for it, pretty please with a cherry on top, utopia is not compatible with the psychology of man. Humans have basic biological drives to survive and to procreate. Freedom to live by our own dictates and desires, in the self-interest of ourselves and our families, is necessary to expand beyond our basic animal proclivities. Those that lived through the many phases of the Russian Revolution were reduced to thinking of little more than how to stay alive, how to
stay warm and what they may or may not have to feed their children. Everything else was superfluous.
You and I have vastly different ideologies. You aren’t going to like our candidates and we’re not going to like yours. That’s a given. We should all be seeking the best person for the job, but our criterion is different. My goal is to find the person most committed to the precepts of our U.S. Constitution. Your goal is to discard the Constitution and fundamentally change what makes us unique and special. I want to equal the playing field. You want to equalize outcome. We are diametrically opposed.
Presidents take an oath to support and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is the Constitution that framed our Republic and allowed this country, in record time, to become the
most prosperous and innovative super power the world has ever seen. Our ability to aid and protect the global community flows directly from the ideals set forth in the Constitutional blueprint.
We have strayed dangerously beyond the Founders’ intent. We must, in this election cycle, right these wrongs or cease to be a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people,” a terrible loss for the entire global community.
